I plan on eventually having both, but I'm not quite sure which one I should get first. After seeing how well they both perform, I just can't bring myself to a conclusion. I find them both very pleasing to the eye, and whichever one I do not get, I'll end up getting later on down the road. Any experience with either, perhaps both? Let me know what you guys think.

Ive owned both of them before. I think its kind of hard to pick a better one. I thought the rat was more comfortable, better built, and i prefer liner locks. But the esee i liked the thinness of the blade and handles, and its lighter weight. I dont think i could pick one over the other either. If i had to id say the ontario first.

Add the Avispa to your list, too.

Just based on blade shape, I would say Zancudo, because of the spear point. Makes it easier to start the cut without jacking up your wrist on flat surfaces.

I only left out the Avispa and Rat 1 because of size. I'm wanting to choose between the Zancudo and Rat 2 because they're both generally small. I do sometimes carry larger blades, but in case I'm going some place where they might find larger or even medium sized folders threatening, I would like a smaller knife.

Got it. Thanks!

I have both. The zancudo can be impossible to open if finger placement against the lockbar is off. Not a problem with the Rat2. Rat2 is a great knife if the scales were not so slippery. Problem common to cheaper knives (kershaw volt2, lookin at you). Both have potential. I carry neither, but would probably use the Rat over Zancudo. Esee is better built, but if you can't open it......

I think it has already been done but, please do a review of both, comparing good and bad of each. Pictures would be nice.

I have always liked the Rat series of folders. Avispa and Zancudo too. I have never purchased any because something else (another knife) seems to get in the way.

I've owned a few of both. Sense would tell me to go with a framelock but there's just something about the RAT. Its sturdiness, feel in hand, liners....I'd have to go with the RAT. I still think it's best in its price range.
