Most certainly. My sheath has loosened up to the point that the blade clicks against the inside of the sheath all the time. I have reformed the sheath at the retention point a couple times to remedy this but after two or three draws its back to looseville. It is this I believe that causes the dulling with MY 14. I'm looking into replacing it with a kydex sheath, just don't know from whom yet.

Check out 710 Custom Sheaths. He's on the forum and makes all my kydex. Every carry option you can think of, and his customer service is amazing!

I looked at the 710 sheaths but think the buffalo leather belt loop, fire steel and holder on the Grizzly Outdoors sheaths is a cut above. No offense to 710 sheaths as I see him post here on the forum often.

Great mind think alike I see. I just dropped $156 to 710 for two sheaths, for my 9 and 16. I was thinking Godspeed for the 14 and my other 24 though. I'm still considering. Hey FP, I will take a look, Thanks!
