Picked up an Esse (SP)? Avispa and not very impressed by it at all. I know they are not made by Esse but the knife is new and hard to get open plus the edges are a bit sharp on the frame lock. I guess maybe in time I'll get to like but as of first impressions not good at all, I did pick up a Rat Model 2 and just like the Model 1 it's way much nicer in my opinion.

Mine was tough to open too at first. At this price point in a knife, I make a point to disassemble, clean, lube, and tweak the pivot screw and it got better. The edges were fine on mine.

Bought one a month ago, love it, silky smooth opening, positive lockup, razor sharp blade. Mines d2

I have 3 avispas and a d2 version and I really love these knives-super value knife, all mine came spot on ,bummer your having issues

Bought my first one last week, now have a zancudo on the way as well. The frame lock is a little sharp, try unlock with your index finger rather than your thump. No other problem what so ever, and so easy to sharpen.
