ESSE Duracoating

thanks for the link to article and videos - they gave further context to this.

I'm out. I don't like shiny things anyway...and I like how they come. and wear.

As far as the shinny thing goes...... that can be over come with a flattening agent.

It is not for everyone and I understand and respect that...... just trying to gauge interest in colors and if anyone would really be interested in this type of service.

I think it looks very cool. For myself, not sure if it is difficult/expensive or not but I would love to see samples of the Lady Amstripe, Bengal, Staten Island Orange. Good luck with this, it looks really interesting.

I got a order in today for matte black, cav arms orange, john deere yellow, white, od green, pink lady and the urban cammo pattern.

Looks like I will work this weekend if it all gets here in time. I will post pics as I finish different blades and colors.

Is this it?

That is the pattern I am going to do first. I think it will look pretty cool on a ESSE blade.

I added a few pics of a Troy battle rail I did in flat dark earth to my original first post. This is my latest AR build and I wanted the rail to match the rest of the Magpul accessories I installed. The color was not spot on from Duracoat but I like the contrast and will keep it this way.

Also there are a few pics of a media blasted Izula.

Updated with pics of Ontario RC-3 before and after.....just got to put together tomorrow. I also did a AR 15 mag in black.

Those photos are a bit difficult to make out but depending on the results I would be interested. Got to love the Duracoat!

I am going to post better pics today after I reassemble the blade I did last night. I have a few more colors coming today and plan on doing a few more this weekend. I will update with pics as I get done with each project.
