Estate sale finds

This was a first! An estate sale for a guy who recently had a cancer scare. His kids told him they didn't want his stuff after he died, so he should start selling it off. Maybe he's just broke and needs money, not sure.
Anyway, among the many, many knives he had, I found this little 2 3/4" Robeson pen. Tang stamp shows it was made between 1900 & 1916. It looks like it's barely been carried. I checked it out through a 10x loupe and I don't think it's ever been sharpened. I thought at first it had been buffed up and polished, but I think it's original. What do you guys think?
