Estwing Axe

Does Estwing make a 12 to 14" axe with a blue polymer handle? I've seen a couple in this length, but they all have the leather handle and I'm not really interested in leather.

Does anyone know how the kershaw camp axe compares to an estwing axe? I just stumbled across the kershaw and it looks very close to what I'd like.

No, the 16" model is the BIIIIIIIG hatchet. Yes, they do make the smaller one with a blue nylon handle. I have both out in my van, but I'm going to guess the small one is about 12" in length. There is a lot of difference in size between these two. I'd say the small one is best for most people and most uses.

Is the blue handled Estwing short Camper really 16 inches overall?
I know the Estwing website says 16 but i found an Ebay seller who says it 17 and 1/4 inches.
I want the short Camper but i wouldn't want it if it is over 16 inch overall length.
The 16 incher would really fill a niche in my axe collection, lol.
Can anybody measure theres for me?

How long ago did you buy it? I've been searching for one extensively and cannot find it anywhere, not even on Estwing's website. I wonder if it has been discontinued.

I emailed Estwing and they don't currently make one. They didn't give any detail on a history for this axe, just that it is not available.

Not an Estwing, but very similar in design. Ox-head seem to get favorable reviews.

Its funny that they translated the name, them are called Ochsenkopf over here.
They do make pretty good axes, but I have no experience with their Camp Hatchet.
So if you like the design, Id say go for it, and post a review .
