Estwing Black Eagle + mods?

Yes I cooled it off as i was grinding. Tomorrow i'm going to modify the back spike a on and test it on a padlock asap. Been busy with work and other things. Its nice to have a few days off and work on my projects. Hah and I can afford 10 busse blades which would cost as much as a used car but I cant afford a tomahawk. Funny! Wish I had more money. I'm going to start selling knives and I really need someone to buy my knives. I know I'm a newbie and unknown by anyone but id like to get my name out there. I'm really passionate about blades. Just not too creative when it comes to a company name. More updates to come!

You could sharpen the beard with a file. I have a belt sander but the hawk wouldn't clear the drive mechanism so that's how I sharpened mine.

I have 2 estwing hawks and a cold steel riflemans hawk Im very happy with them I don't think you can break a estwing and if you do, You would havt to break 9 of them to equal 1 RMJ

The model Schlegel is working with I doubt you could break it. I want to reprofile one with the hole in the head but I'm not sure how thin I can can without compromising the strength with the hole in the eye. The double bit (modded into a good spike) wouldn't have that problem. I'm guessing you can put a great thin wood chopping grind on that one.
