ETA for the Samaritan

I second this, as the new spydercos are hitting the stores I'm extremely anxious to see the Samaritan.

Given the customs issues with the Bi-Fold and Balis, I wouldn't hold my breath for the Samaritan anytime soon. I don't think it'll get axed comepletely, but I wouldn't expect it in the next year at all. Lawyers get paid by the hour, so they're never in a hurry.

The Samaritan is an American knife, I thought(S30V and such)? I also heard from a manufacturer (after much persistence) that he expects the Samaritan anyday. So I don't understand why there would be customs issues?

If it's American made, the only issue will be it's legality in Colorado. We've seen pictures, and they don't get released until the model is within 6 months from production. So it could start production anytime soon, but things happen, and plans get pushed back.

I wouldn't trust that manufacturer who said he expects them "anyday." They all say that, and most of them haven't got a clue. :p

But but but I want it now!!!! . Darn your logic SMC.:grumpy:

I am keeping my hopes high still.

On that note, is spyderco like benchmade when it comes to Lifesharp, that we would have to enclose LEO credentials for servicing?

I will see Sal at the Eugene show next weekend. I will see what I can find out.
