I happened to call Emerson friday at lunch to check on some hardware and asked Christina about the ETAK A and she said they had 5 ready to go.
I was able to pick my serial number, I grabbed #5, they even shipped it that day, will be here monday

That makes number 4 for this week. CQC-7V Tan, A100 Tan, ETAK A Tan, Gentleman Jim Black

OCD got the best of me after getting my first Emerson CQC-7V

What a great hobby

Got mine today, It's super sweet, Could be the sharpest knife I've ever had, You guy's gotta try this one………

Gotta say this because its bothering me. The ETAK is essentially a Super CQC-7. If i was more handy with computers id make some kind of Gif showing them transform into one and other. The ETAK just has a longer guard on the front and the back, and essentially the same handle shape in the middle, also the blade tip on the tanto version is just longer and slightly more skewed than the CQC-7. Not a fan, i think i like the 7's blade shape better, handle and well everything better than the ETAK.

Could however be a great option for people like me that could never come to grips (pun intended) with the 7 line. I've had a Super, standard and Mini and could not make myself like their grips.
