Etching logo on blued steel

I just got my etcher from Ron Claiborne, and stencils from Ernie Grospitch, and I just have a quick question. A good percentage of my knives are cold blued, is there anything I need to do special when etching my logo on 'em? Do I just use 'em like normal, or etch prior to blueing? What's worked for you? Thanks for the help, I don't want to ruin a perfectly good stencil doing something dumb

Before you Blue them is best. The etcher will go trought the bluing but you have to clean it up with sand paper when your done so I just do it before so the blueing does not get screwed up. And if you do it right it comes out alot darker when blued.
