Is this logo too intricate for etching? Logo will be this with city/state. If I ever decide to sell knives, someone can find me with city/state search on Bing/Google.

My logos have some pretty fine lines also, I had to burn a few stencils to get the formula/timing down. Depending on the size (height/width)of your pictured mark I think it should be fine.

I agree with David, size will play a role but from what I can see you can definitely do it with photo chemical etching, even in small sizes. Electrochemical might be a bit more size sensitive if you want the finer detail to be clear.

IMHO it might be a little much, even if it etches clean. Like was already said, depending on size. I would think you would be shrinking it quite a bit, and then it might be confusing. Just my take on it, good luck with what ever you decide.

What is it supposed to be? Whether it will etch or not is a moot point if people can't understand it.

Does it matter if they understand it or that they just recognize it?

Exactly what I was thinking. I wanted a very Gothic font, looked for just the right one. Now people remember my last name or I hear "you're the guy that has the cool font".

Thank you, that is my thinking also. I'm just wondering if it will work. I'll email it to Ernie and see what he says.
