Can yiu guys recimmend a good etching system to etch signature on a blade? There's quite a few out there, what do you use and are you happy with the results?

I use the personalizer. I have had excellant results, leaves a good clean etch. You can go to my photo album and see.
 
I built the Crawford etcher according to the tutorial. I also added a switch in to drop power to 12V rather than 24V. It seems to make the stencils last longer. I also use Q-tips instead of a full felt etching pad as I seem to have more control and build less heat (gasses off better as well).

I use Ernie Grospitch for stencils. Great guy to work with and very fast and responsive. Anything you can print in smooth black-and-white form at the proper size can be made into a stencil.

I get good results, I think. The etch is sharper in person than in this photo:

Ask for their knifemaker's kit. They include everything. For stencils, go to Ernie as Nathan said.
