Hey guys,
Anyone out there that uses an etch-o-matic? Maybe you can give me some advice. I use the stainless etchant on my 440-c blades with the pad plenty wet but not soaked, and I still don't get very good quality marks. Most come out looking rusty brown instead of black. Any suggestions?
Also, I would like to try and figure out how to use it to etch small scroll patterns and such on bolsters and maybe on the blades themselves. I'm not happy with the results I get with the green stencils you buy.
