I use 1 cup water 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp TSP. Really any saline solution will work. you can replace the TSP with 1 drop of soap. Make a little and try it on some test pieces. This worked better than their solution. Wet the pad and dab on a paper towel to remove excess and dont press too hard.
some states have restricted is use due to environmental concerns. It might be found in hardware stores, Home Depot/Lowe's/WalMart, or your local paint stores.
If you use 1 steel regularly, buy some electrolyte from TUS Tech.
They have specific solutions for specific steels, or families of steels.
Works like a champ, and is cheap.
A bottle just might last forever, unless it goes bad...
