Ethan Would Like to Thank You All

Well I don't think there is anything I can add to this thread since my sentiment mirrors so many others. The Kabar and Becker lines and this forum are are some of my favorite things and keep me sane when work gets crazy. I'll go back to lurking now. :D

I havent posted or even lurked in the Becker Forums for quite some time. I have watched the recent Ka-Bar videos with Ethan and it reminded what I love about this forum: Ethan, good knives and a bunch of really great guys. I let how I feel about a couple people make me forget about why I come here. Sorry it took me so long to figure that out. Thanks KaBar for reminding me and for the great service.....and thanks, E for making it all possible. And thanks to all of you knuckleheads...I mean Beckerheads that put up with me.

Who's up for a group hug?
Nobody?....Just me? O.K.

In all seriousness I really do appreciate all that Ka-bar, Ethan, the Mods, and all the members do here. This is an awesome little corner of the universe we have here. I'm thankful to be a part of it.

I'm down for a group hug! Seriously, this forum is the best.

I haven't been here long but I feel like this forum is almost a sort of family, albeit a dysfunctional one, but a family non the less, when I first got here I was asking alot of novice questions but was greeted with kind words and open arms, i am extremly grateful towards Ethan, and this forum so I would just like to say thank you

so freaking awesome…that gathering was a truly memorable experience. Thanks Uncle E and Ka-Bar for putting out these fine tools for us, and all the people that make this a unique and warm place.

This forum is a unique place.
Beckerheads are truly a great bunch of people.
Thank you Ethan and Kabar for all that you do.

Unfortunate circumstances keep me relegated to lurker status. But I am a fan and user of Dr. Becker's remedies. I first stumbled upon The Campanion more then 20 years ago when Blackjack was manufacturing them. It was unlike anything I had ever used or seen. I bought it and have been hooked ever since. Becker's are so simple and affordable yet they stand out in every way. "Sometimes the ordinary seems extraordinary because it is so ordinary". I wish I could contribute more but I live vicariously through the posts of this wonderful community.

Hey folks, now that Mr. Becker is back, I thought I would bump this and thank Him and Kabar for producing the knives we all work with (and on), edc, collect, abuse and love. I am rather new to Beckers/Kabar but I feel rather comfortable in saying that we all have come to rely on these quality knives in one way or another and the community that had arisen around them is proof evident.
Thank you both for your time, investment, attention and most of all your companionship.

From a New, proud and Lifetime Becker/Kabar customer.
Bill

If you've never experienced Ethan's unparalleled hospitality at a Gathering or have even enjoyed the pleasure of his company in person at any other event, then I truly feel sorry for you. I know everybody has demons, but the man is the closest to a Saint that I've met. Ethan I'm so glad that I came to my first gathering a few years ago against my better judgement. Calling you a friend is one of the better things in my life most days.

I was introduced to the Kabar Becker knives via participation in Blade Forums. I knew about them, but I never paid much attention to them for whatever reason. I like big knives but find that I seldom use big knives. I saw so many recommendations for the BK-2, that after a period of about a year, I finally bought one. I was pleased. The Becker knives have been a big part of my trying to find the size of knife I am most comfortable with in the woods. I seldom carry a fixed blade if I am not in the woods. Thank you Ethan Becker and Kabar for making and providing a very good and consistant product. These knives have also allowed me to develop an appreciation for 1095 steel and what it can do.

I keep missing the TN gatherings due to work. But for me, work comes first. Maybe I will make the next one.

The foundation of the Becker Knife & Tool community is the Beckerheads. Thanks all, not just from Ethan, but from all of us here at KA-BAR as well. You are a great bunch.

It's probably just something screwy with my computer, but that vid isn't showing up for me. The one you posted on FB the other day runs fine, though...

In any case, I could not agree more with the warm sentiments expressed by everyone here about Ethan and Ka-Bar, and their support of this community. I'm both humbled and proud to be a small part of it.

I met Ethan for the first time last Spring, because I was invited to the Gathering to participate in the bushcraft knife maker's challenge. Long story short, I had an absolute blast and have since learned a great deal and made a lot of great friends.

Ethan is a gentleman and a scholar, and an honest-to-goodness renaissance man. If you don't learn something from spending just a few minutes with this dude, you're simply not paying attention. I can't even tell you how much advice and encouragement he's given me in the last year. I've been blessed to meet several really talented and genuinely fine people in the knife biz over my brief career so far, and I can say without reservation that Uncle E is the coolest cat of them all. :)

What a great man, great company, great community. Thanks y'all.

Ethan is one of those rare genuine and loyal people you encounter in a lifetime. Glad to have him as a friend and always enjoy his company.

This is exactly what I would have said, had it not been said.

I thank Ethan, KA-BAR and this community for helping me love knives again!!!

This is completely awesome. Ethan seems to be a hell of a guy, and very humble. I look forward to supporting him and his art.

You dont have to thank us,,,if not for BK&T quality and value there would be no "us"..so thank you
