My home town was destroyed so far 6 confirmed dead over 75 injured and many people are still missing.

We had some very bad storms roll through Friday night, and one of the most affected areas, was Tellico Plains, of which, Ethan lives at the eastern end of. It was bad.

SF Sam, myself and others have been trying to get ahold of him since Friday, well, this morning I finally got ahold of him, and everything is OK. Not even any trees down around his place, which is quite unusual

Just wanted to let ya'll know. Its been an interesting weekend here in East Tenn. Violent, torrential storms have pounded us since Friday night, causing flooding, and damage. Seems we are on the mend, with snow coming in tonight. WTF!?!?!

So, just droppin' some intel on ya.

Moose

Thanks for the news.

Take some pics of the snow ... it's been a very disappointing winter in NoVa.

Ridgebuggy: so sorry to see that. My mother's family have lived in Missouri for a very long time, so I'm no stranger to the devastation caused by tornados. I hope the state and the feds can offer some real help.

Holy, CR@P.
Glad you guys in TN are ok.

Ridgebuggy, that looks terrible! Stay safe down there.

I think I saw a msg from Tradewater in the snarkolicious thread - isn't he down there too?

-Daizee

Same with Guyon.
He's down yonder as well, I think.
Any word from him?

Ridgebuddy, that is completely insane.
Smoke up for all affected.

Ummm....It's Ethan Becker. No tornado is going to take THAT chance. Good way to get cut.

Good to hear Ethan wasn't affected. They rolled through your area pretty heavy too Moose. I was fortunate, unlike last year, only had 5 shingles blow off and a shutter!

Glad to hear the boss and everyone is doing all right. Weather has been getting all kinds of crazy lately.

Glad to hear everything is well. He might have to take one of his knives and go fell a few trees though.

Ethan uses Stihl. And lots of them. I think he's got a half dozen or more laying around. The only time he would use a knife to lop up a tree is if had to, or was out of gas. :D

Thanks for the update Moose, glad everyone down there is ok!

Wicked weather so far this year already. Great reminder for the rest of us to make sure we have enough of the basics.

Ridgebuggy: glad you made it through, that devastation is incredible.

Glad the boss is okay.

To Ridgebuggy, anyone else hit by the worst of it, hope you are all well and are well supported towards recovery.
Its quite startling to see those photo's!

Stay safe amigos.

Earliest I've seen so many severe storms and so widespread. Keep those weather alert radios on.

Hope everyone's alright.

Snowing here today ... was 70 over the weekend. Gonna' be 70 end of week - Crazy

Couple Tornado warnings but it went South.
