Etiquette for cancelling an order?

Chris, allowing him to keep your deposit after not delivering when promised and not even contacting you about delays is only contributing to the makers bad habits, it also sets a bad precedent,ie;hmmmmmm, i'll take an order, quote 3 months delivery, and then just hold off till they cancel, and keep the deposit. Nice racket. I hope in the future that you go with makers that do not require deposits,(most good ones)If a knife is really that ugly that it requires a deposit, maybe you dont need it.JMO. ;)
