Etiquette Question (Levity)

Not a faux pas at all. While pioneertoo had a point; It was right, but was it SMART? The lines for a bathroom would in no other circumstances apply to both genders, and as long as there was a functional women's bathroom and there was no line for the men's, you going is only logical. They are all ladies waiting for the lady's bathroom, and they can choose to use the men's bathroom while nobody is there. However, once the two genders are present it would be right to use the designated bathroom.

Just don't do it to your wifey :D

Not IMO, they need to use their own and stay the hell out of ours..... :mad::mad::mad:

They trash public restrooms I am telling you........ It would make you sick just to walk in the door.....
 
To Ankerson, as much as I agree, by means of nature women are slower, and as long as the bathrooms are single person, they aren't bothering anybody as long as men are not waiting.

And yes the double standard here is blaring.

Let them deal with their fellow females filth and not trash ours too....

Oh yeah there is a Huge double standard......

I was in Retail Management for about 20 years and I can tell you 1st hand they are worse than pigs..... The men's will look like a hospital compared to the pigpen that is the Women's restroom..... And that is 99% of the time......

They are so bad that the people would spray the whole thing down with a hose most of the time..... And that's all the different places I worked too....

They used a broom and a shovel on the floor before they sprayed it all down..... That was like 4 times a day on ave....

The Men's, well they cleaned it like once a day.... Checked it twice.... Wiped a few things down and moped the floor...

I get the same look when I use the little girls' room. It's just a swirling puddle to pee in, get over it.

A policeman once told me that a man could be charged with trespassing for being in a woman's bathroom. He explained that it was like stepping behind the counter in a store; you're going somewhere that you aren't welcome and don't belong. YMMV

in my experience, women's rooms are much nastier than men's... used to work fast food and had to clean 'em up...

last week, while vacationing in florida, my girlfriend and i went to a movie on daytona beach. the women's room at the theatre had couches and a love seat, while the men's room didn't even have dividers between the urinals...

piss where you will, i say.
 
I don't think you did anything wrong Mike. I agree almost everything said. If they want to use the men's room that is fine until there are men there to use it. Then they need to take a hike.

Have to disagree with you in a few unique situations. I was someplace once with one of my ex's (before she was an ex) and the women's bathroom was closed and locked. I went into the men's room, which was set up for multiple users at the same time and made sure it was clear and then stood guard outside so she could use it. A friend of mine did something similar for his very pregnant wife as the women's line was very long. In these kind of situations it is ok for women to use the men's room. Other than that I agree we have priority.
 
You did nothing wrong.

However, and this is just me, depending upon the age of the waiting females (if they were older ladies) I might have offered it to them before I entered. My parents are older and suffer from less tolerant bladders so trying to respect an elder and a little chivalry never hurts.

It would be cool to pull up to a stoplight without the mobile unit vibrating from the adjacent punks stereo too, but things are very different today!

I disagree and I will tell you why. :)

I have seen way too many times after the pigs trashed the their restrooms, clogged them so they are flooded etc so they had to be shut down. :rolleyes:

Once that happens they think they should beable to use the Mens restroom. WRONG IMO...... I say too freaking bad.....

I have seen Mens restrooms shut down to men more than a few times due to the pigs restrooms having problems because of the pigs trashing them. They put the Women's sign right over the mens.

So in short the Guys are out of luck completely in the end while the pigs get to trash the Mens room too. So in the end the pigs restroom will get fixed and the Men's will be trashed and still closed because it's trashed. :rolleyes:

IMO Chivalry went out the window when Women's lib came into play and today it's got no place in Society period. ;)

Women screwed themselves IMO over the years and with everything slanted in their favor these days........... Way too many nanny laws IMO...

This is what I had a Cop tell me once after I told him I wouldn't hit a women if she attacked me:

He told me that the graveyards are full of fools who thought that and ended up dead.....

2.) Chivalry isn't dead, but it's hurting right now. If my 72 year old mom really needs to use the men's room, I hope someone let's her do it so she doesn't soil herself.

Yeah and it's their own fault that's it's dieing for taking advantage of us over the years, some men are starting to wake up. ;)

If you had seen the things I have for the past 20+ years you would think a lot different......

One of the ways I would keep some of the guys in line was to make them clean the Women's restroom if they acted up etc. :D

Believe me it worked too once they had to do it. ;)

I found it worked better than anything else including firing them, it would straighten them out in a real hurry. :D

I didn't like a lot of paperwork so I would give them the choice, clean the Woman's restroom or hit the clock and don't come back. ;)

But clasifying all of them as "pigs' really torqued me bud!

My mom, wife, and daughter are not pigs. I believe there are many individuals who happen to be women, that are, but not your broad stroke. Opinions vary.

Guys that never worked in retail etc just don't know because they have never seen it.....

Ever heard the Wife etc complain about the Women's restrooms being dirty?

It's only women that go in there so how do you think they get trashed? ;)

It sure isn't the guys or the tooth fairy doing it.....

Yep, agreed, its the ones that ARE pigs who make the rest look bad. I work in a plant with 60+ women and know how SOME of them can be.

I got fajita's for FD lunch, man did I pig out.;)

I'm thinking they may have wanted to see if that ole rumor about tall people with big hands and feet were true:p
