Man this Eucalyptus is something! I may have just found a wooden handle I like more than the box elder. The figure in this burl is gorgeous. And Andy nailed the grind I love! Gee, I almost hate that I have to patina this one :) I may have just found one I will refuse to part with...

Wow. That is a beauty Mist!

I know right? I still can't believe it was still just sitting there as late as I was getting to the thread. I couldn't believe my luck in snagging it. The colors are gorgeous and just perfect for the piece I am doing, and it feels great.

Mist, i scored a TT runt also in Eucalyptus. You're right, the stuff is gorgeous. Will try to post some pics manana.

That really is an exceptional knife. I know in the past you have mentioned you really like 5/32". How are liking the 1/8" tapered?

Nice Mist. I picked up my first Kephart (Ben's Kephart) just this week and have been really impressed with Andy's interpretation of the knife. Feels great in the hand. However, those scales put mine to shame. Gorgeous!

I bet that is beautiful. I just saw some really cool Runt front pocket sheaths Jou Fuu made posted on face book, made me start wanting a Runt :)

It's really something else. Well, honestly part of me wished it was 5/32, but really the 1/8 works for this one. I'll end up with another 5/32 Bushcrafter or my dream 5/32 KEB someday anyway, so it will be fine for this one in 1/8 I think :)

Congrats, nice snag. I love the Kephart and have wanted a tapered one for quite a while. This handle is gorgeous. First one I've seen that I have liked this much since that box elder KE Bushie that Willic snagged several months back. Man that thing is gorgeous too.

That sure is a cracker of a burl on that knife mist . We're surrounded by those Eucalyptus trees over here and the burl color varies depending on the species some are a deep red but all are beautiful.
Nice score mate :)

That really may be the most amazing Kephart to come out of the shop! It even looked good in the FF pics (haha!), but now we can really see how amazing it is. That burl looks like you could lose yourself just staring into it.

Now that's when you know you have a beautiful knife, if it even looks good in our crappy photos. :D

That particular piece of eucalyptus was pretty choice, I really like the color fade on it, wish they were all that pronounced.

Hope you know the good spirit in which I made my comment. You and Andy have both remarked how your photo skills do not really show off the knives the way you'd like them to. And Mist has a particular talent here. I couldn't resist the good-natured jest.

Beautiful, svelte knife. Andy and the boys really do a number on that 1/8" tapered tang with the high grind. Something about the Kephart too, everyone I've seen or handled had a fabulous bevel on it.

Good choice!

I don't have the color you do Mist, but I really like the way this wood looks. And this thing tapers to absolutely nothing...pretty wild.

There's another Eucalyptus Kephart in this week's batch.

Edited to say that this knife might be a dud.... sorry folks. Just found a chip in the handle that I don't think can be fixed. I'm 0 for 2 in terms of giving a heads up on Friday's.

All right folks we’re selling her as a second. Buying it comes with the Fiddleback Promise – that you won’t ever sell the knife. New price would be $290, seconds price is $225. The knick in the handle happened when Andy put the final pass on the blade at the grinder, the belt just touched the handle material. We’ll fill it as best we can before shipping.
