I found a picture of the Euro Care Taker. "Sold only in Europe from 2001-2003." This was cool!! With a 6" blade, sort of a clip point NO-E variant?

A few of these were sold in the first Extravaganza, both Combat Grade and an LE version. I have one of the CG's, and lust after an LE.

It is basically a Natural Outlaw E with a clip point and a butt grind. It is also very similar to the clip point Desert NO-E's (14 of these sold to general public) except it has no swedge grind.

I was surprised when no one snapped the E-Bay one up at the buy-it-now price, which is now gone.

well dangit. now i wanna know what the buy it now price was.... i remember seeing it and thinking "eeeaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.... i'll pass...."

Buy it now was $400. As a comparision, a clip Point Desert NO-E went last week for a little over $450, I don't remember the eact figure. Given the prices that plain vanilla E-handles have been selling for lately, I did not think that $400 was unreasonable.

Reading my post above, I see that it could be mis-construed that it was me selling the Caretaker. It is not me. Mine isn't for sale.

ah... and with the pommel ground off....

theres some cheap infi to be had on ebay. that knife may go for less then you'd think.

im probably about to win an action for a nice price at the moment....

I picked up the clip-point desert outlaw.... What a great blade. Makes me want to go after the Caretaker as well :D :D :D

I messed up and sold one at Knob Creek last year instead of scarfin it up for myself...  :(

But I did see one at Indy in January, and told the guy he scored a nice piece.

He only paid $225 for it...

$225?? Wow! That was a nice score! I can't wait 'til Atlanta. I'm not counting on anything obscure showing up but you never know.

Man-oh-man, I do like the lines on that Euro Caretaker!

Aaahhh... now I get it.

Sorry, didn't mean to step over the line. It wasn't my intent to promote... I was just having some fun. I should have read the forum rules more thoroughly. Won't happen again.

Didn't mean to come across so sternly man.

There were just some recent issues with this.

Good luck.

Mike
