MikeH said:Buy it now was $400. As a comparision, a clip Point Desert NO-E went last week for a little over $450, I don't remember the eact figure. Given the prices that plain vanilla E-handles have been selling for lately, I did not think that $400 was unreasonable.
Not at all. In fact the Desert NO-E is way different from any other NO-E I ever had. Besides the clip point and the butt grind (had a plain NO-E with the butt grind), the blade is narrower, more like the old SJ's, or, say between the SJ's and the NO's and the hump on top of the handle is ground down some, making it not as tall. Certainly the most comfortable NO handle I ever held.
Check one of yours out against another NO-E and see if I'm right. Mine is the recurve (1 of 7), but it sure seems a lot more work than just the butt grind and the clip point went into these knives.
The whole feel is different and all for the better.
I really wanted to get a straight edge, but that hasn't happened, so I guess I'll have to make do with the recurve. LOL
Feels too nice to stay a safe queen.
