A quaint little village in Hungary, only 80 minutes from famous family vacation spot lake Balaton, and only 2 1/2 train hours from Budapest. That's the venue for the 17th EuroThrowers European Championship in Knife Throwing and Axe Throwing, taking place September 1-3 2017 in Alsómocsolád, Hungary.

We are expecting 140 throwers from all over the world - last year 11 nations participated! The event is open for all throwers, beginners welcome, it's as much about the fun of throwing together in a friendly environment as about competing! The local organiser, Janos Kohl, does speak English - email him with any questions, including travel help.

As for throwing disciplines, we'll be having precision events, long-distance challenges, a duel-cup (pairwise throwing with time-measuring machines), speed throwing, and a "moving target" event.

Full details on travel, registration and rules at:

Looking forward to throw with you in Alsómocsolád!
