Is there a Euro version of W2? Or Swedish? Different name?

I have a friend over there that is looking but can't find any.

Thanks for any help.

Achim Wirtz is the guy to ask. Of course, the ironic part is that I do believe that Aldo is having his W2 made in Germany, but that is a special order. Now if your friend is looking to get a wild hamon, he should ask Gerhard Wieland where he gets his W1.

The 1" X 1 1/2" rectangular stock that surfaced a few years ago was, i believe, made
by Uudeholm.....Required a different HT.....don't know if it's a Euro version....

Which country are you looking in?

Despite the metric designations supposedly unifying all those standards, everyone has their own designation system.

I'd be surprised to find W2 or W1 in rectangular bar.

Offhand, I think C95 is 1095 - double check that once you know the country you want'

Russ, looks good !

Numbers, the country is Sweden, but I'm guessing sourcing steel anywhere in Europe is less costly than shipping from the US?

Bohler calls it K760, I believe. I can also get the designation for other standards besides AISI, if that will help the search.
