Even Heat KH418 Question.

I am researching even heat in hopes of getting one pretty soon. I have a 220 v plug for my grinder but it is not a NEMA 6-20R plug. I have plenty of 110v outlets in my garage/shop, so that is the reason I am looking into the KH418. I also am tight on cash and want to avoid 100' of wire to run a new 220v outlet. I would like to hear any experiences with this model. I realize it will take longer to heat up and not be as efficient as a 220v.

Another question I have is, lets say I get the 220v oven KF18. Would it be possible to change out the male connector and have one installed that would fit the current 220v outlet I currently have? Thanks

Here is the 220v outlet I have for my grinder. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Just tap into the back of your grinder plug and put another plug right beside it for the kiln, not sure if you would be able to run both at once, but could easily run either one.

i have a stove/ dryer outlet also and jsut added a pigtail to my even heat to make it fit

you dont get in trouble till you plug a tool into an outlet that cant handle the rated pull of the tool
using a bigger plug that can handle way more amps is not a problem (that i knwo of )

Thanks, I will ask Tracy M to see if they can install the plug I need at the factory before they ship it out.

Pancho , get the 220 , it is also cheaper to operate . Heck , if need be just make a pigtail to go from outlet to oven . No big deal bud .
