The handle is a great question. The one he made for the magazine article was black linen micarta. The blue scales on this knife are not micarta but if you look at the spine pictures there is some micarta as a second layer. I know that's not definitive but I don't want to speculate. My guarantee is always a full refund minus my shipping. Thanks for the interest.
