A little more edge on the Rat
With the most excellent 711
I've taken the 711 camping a few times and it has been killer. A couple of weeks back, firewood gathering turned out to be a major hassle on some fire roads where we were staying and I had to de-limb and chop up a fallen 30 foot tree into manageable burning pieces. Due to inebriated packing of necessities prior to the trip, I failed to bring a large chopping blade and had only had the 711 on hand. I'm not going to claim it was a piece of cake, because it was not. I was one cursing dude in the woods. However, it got the job done after a good thousand chops and the edge touched up to excellent with a couple of passes on the folding DMT. The 911 would have made better work of that dead tree. Very much looking forward to taking it out to some woods soon! :thumbup::thumbup:

I passed on the Rodent 9. That handle bugs me. Res-C, on the other hand is great!
