Evening of the Cutlery Arts/Plaza knife show

Great review as usual Steve!!

The show was as good as I have seen in the last couple of years. Even with the economy concerns, sales were very good.

The dagger I made was a big gamble, only because it ate up SO MUCH time, about a weekand a half more than I alloted, plus I lost a few days to hurricane Ike. So I ended up with two pieces. I sold the dagger, picked up a new customer and have had good residual communication with other poeple I met there.

It was a good show for me, and I am anxious for the next one.

'residual communication'
love it!

Great review, Steven! Glad to hear it was a really good show.

Coop, Matt's folder is super! Who's damascus is that?

STeven,

That was a great review. It sounds like a really good show.

Thanks for the review Steven. We Really enjoyed it. Manuela and I so much wanted to be there.

Thanks to Dan's understanding, we will be in 2010..It was kind of him to handle a lottery for us.

Mike and Manuela

A thouroughly enjoyable and informative show review as always STeven - many thanks bro!

Roger

Was this show mostly a lottery or just like any other show?

Thanks for the write up STeven

Great review, as always, Steven. Thank you for taking the time.

Question: Did you have a chance to speak with Gray and Evelyn Taylor?
How are they? What knives did they bring? Did they have a good show?

It sounds as if the show is a great one; I only wish that I could attend.

Great, great review Steven. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

Coop - this is probably the most beautiful & sexy nude engraving I've ever seen.

Ed,

They are fine. Evelyn has responded in this thread. Gray built a house this year, and has gained some weight. They had 3 Orange Blossom Specials, including some tortoise, and a large blacklip pearl, a Sunfish and a sleeveboard. They sold out, bigtime. Evelyn had a nice time, and has been canning a lot of green beans lately.

Come to the AKI next year!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Dang, how could I have missed Evelyn's reply?

Ooops, oh well. Glad to hear that everything is well.
I would love to make that show next year.

that was a 'bicycle' accident............

and Matt was there with his lovely wife, thats how I can tell he is there!!! :)

Nice review! Good to see you, it was nice sitting next to Bailey, got to hang with him, but I was soooo tired!!!

Two shows that close together is something I am never doing again!!!

See you in SB in april! :D

Part of the joy of taking NO notes with regard to a review of this scale is that my wonderful "bloopers" come to the fore....Matt Lerch was there, but I didn't meet him, Tom Mayo does NOT putt around on a Harley like I thought he did....:o:eek:

C. Gray Taylor, like myself however, is DEFINITELY about 8 lbs or so pudgier than when I saw him in June. Just makes him all that much more adorable, Evelyn....9 years is a fair bit of time to live in a house...probably a lot of memories there...don't imagine that Gray would cotton to many more moves during this lifetime.:D

Fondly,

STeven Garsson
