Ever Been Surprised (In A Good Way) By A Spyderco's Performance?

The way the standard S30V Miltary fits in my pocket and hand for its size is amazing. Such a good EDC knife with great steel. My Sage II is also one of my EDCs but even though it is S30V the edge tends to chip.

Sure was surprised about how well built, and overall great, the Lil’ Temp is! Perhaps I was even more surprised with the titanium ATR. I didn’t care for the SS version at all. I am pretty surprised at how well my Delica and Endura have held up over the years – Wonderful! I was surprised at how smooth the action is on my Chokwe; I’m also surprised at how well it slices and its slender profile.

I work in a print shop and after carrying my Boker Armed Forces, when I finally got my Spyderco Persistence, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it held an edge, even after cutting open pallets, cutting straps, opening cases of paper, unjamming presses, and functioning as a general saves-the-day tool.

Spyderco G10 Endura in VG-10, here. It's my EDC. I've used it to score Hardyboard (concrete impregnated exterior drywall), I've cut small diameter galvanized and copper wire, I've used the butt end as a hammer, and I've batonned the blade through a small log. No chips, no dings, no rolls, some scratches, some scuffs. The G10 scales have eaten the right pocket of more than several pairs of pants. Almost all of the paint is gone off of the pocket clip. When I go snorkeling, I coat the blade in olive oil and just rinse it off afterwards. This is in the Gulf of mexico, and I use IWB carry when I'm doing it. In short, this knife is the best carry knife I've ever owned. And the VG-10 stays sharp for a surprisingly long time.

Spyderco for life.
