I don't mean the same type/brand/model I mean the exact knife?

This arrived yesterday. If it looks familiar it's because I've owned/posted it before.
Bought it awhile back for an excellent price that I couldn't pass up. After posting it "newest acquisitions" and in the " show me your case knives" I received a very nice offer from a member here for double what I paid for it! We were both happy and that should have been the end of this...except a couple weeks ago my wife got a new job in a different government office that wasn't as casual as the one she had worked in for years and was told that the boss wouldn't be happy with her leatherman or pocket knife if she saw them.
So my wife tells me it's time to "classy up " her carry and she was thinking that even her anti-sharp tools boss couldn't bat an eye at " that beautiful little pearl number you bought" referring to this gentlemans manicure knife. I told her she was too late as I'd let it go and much to my surprise she seemed actually sad!
So I immediately started searching for a replacement but couldn't find one so I bought this one back for 2.5 times what I paid for it the first time! The un-named as promised member was willing to just sell it back for the sale price but I insisted a profit was to be made and he begrudgingly agreed.

So here it is mine for a week until the wife finds it under the tree...

I've bought the same brand/model/year knife 12 times... twice... when they were discontinuing the Victorinox soldier and Wenger Standard Issue. But not the same exact knife.

I've never bought the exact knife twice but have bought and sold the exact knife to the same guy.

Oops... Misread the OP as Frank pointed out. No, that has never happened to me.

Ummm... you folks are missing Emspops point.

Had the knife and sold it.
Then bought that exact knife back.

Just sayin',

I've never bought the exact same knife but I tried to once. Contacted the gentleman that I sold it to and something got lost in the communication. Probably my fault as I think he would have sold it back to me if I had stated things more clearly.

I ended up buying one just like it instead.

A few times....a Queen made Dan Burke barlow and a Canal Street stockman in black corn cob jigged bone.

Good that you could find another Rick. I honestly felt a bit dumb asking to buy it back.

if i like a knife enough I buy it multiple times. case in point, 2014 blade forums jack, I love that knife so much ive bought up to three. Same for 48s, 15s, etc, does that count?

In answer to the title of this thread, YES. I bought a BRK Essential about a year ago. I ended up selling it to help pay for something else. Well, I'd been thinking about that little knife for some time and last week, I bought another. It should be here tomorrow. I'll be sure to post a picture of it here.

Not exactly, but as a kid my friend traded a knife to me that he ended up wanting back and traded me something else to get it back.
I didn't like the knife that I got for it, and while I loved this pocket knife I didn't feel right about keeping it when he wanted it back so much.
I believe I originally traded him a few little key chain folders for it, and what he traded me for it back was a cheapo fixed blade.

I never did. I would need to sell the knife in the first place. I can't count how many knives I've ever bought but I can count the number that I've ever sold.

Yes I did, I bought the same vintage Sheffield knife, on the bay, twice. When I first saw it I had to have it, so I put a bid and won, after sometimes I sold it on the bay as I needed cash. After 3-4 years I saw it again on the bay, it looked familiar but didn't quiet realized that I had it, but I had this feeling that I have to have it, so I put a bid ... and won. When it arrived I looked at my old notes, and guess what, it was the same knife :o I kept it for a while but since I am not a collector I sold it again here on the exchange since I couldn't bring myself to use it.

Here it is with GEC 83
