When I use a Dremel tool, I use a rubberized abrasive, Cratex.
No heat to speak of.
I leaned this doing modifications to Colt ACPs over the last 30 years.
You can not afford to generate heat while grinding a pistol barrel.
The down side to rubberized abrasive is that it is slow.
The most common work I do on Busse knives is to knock off the corners on the handle to make them more comfortable.
I very seldom modify the blade.
But when I do, it never gets even warm to the touch.
