Ever found a knife?

I've found two folded up $20 bills laying in the middle of the Walmart parking lot.... never found a knife though. :D

Found three SAK's at various times when backpacking. All were at campsites. Two had black scales ^___^

A buddy lost a knife in a pack that went overboard when canoeing. Couldn't find it in hours of searching. His favorite knife. (We told him not to try and :run" those rapids.) A young man fishing with his dad a couple weeks later found the pack and returned it, including the almost $400US inside.

Thats a great story. I wish there were more kids like that in the world.

I found some multi-tool in the middle of the street in front of my house back when I was probably only eleven or twelve. Then it just hung out for a decade because I always had a nice leatherman that overshadowed it. So Just last month I sold it for $2 at a garage sale.

never lost or found a knife. However, my lucky family members seem to find BMs all over the place.

I've found everything BUT knives over the years, including one very nice axe. I have 7 dogs though, and I too have no trouble finding BM's all over my yard.

I found a Victorinox Hiker back when I was a kid, probably in junior high, while snowshoeing up the local mountains. It cleaned up nicely and served as my edc for the better part of a decade after that.

i have found my knife after having lost it (for about 2 weeks)
very happy and it did feel like getting a new knife

a friend of mine has all the luck when finding knives

like finding a Kershaw assisted opener (i dont know what model) on the bungee loop of a clearance jacket at REI

Yes, a prison knife made from a file wrapped with electrical tape. A real piece of jail art.

A guy at work found an Emerson CQC-15 on the side of street a few years back. He's not really into knives, but he carries it everyday.

one time after going out and sleeping in my hammock i lost a SAK. then almost half a year later i set up that hammock and found it just sitting in it takin a nap

I've done that will a couple of different knives and my cellphone.

My brother-in-law found a cheapo no name fixed blade in a field one day during military training. He brought it home for me since he knew of my knife fascination. We now refer to it as my "alleged murder weapon".

I found a small Boker stockman by the roadside near my old house. Cracked scales, missing shield, broken pen blade. I keep it in my motorcyclentool kit. I bet some farmer dropped it off his tractor.

Okay so I've certainly lost plenty of knives, so someone somewhere must have found the darned things.

Most recently I managed to lose my mini-rukus yesterday. I went on line and discovered that you mostly can't buy that model anymore, and if you can it costs significantly more than the 180 dollars that I paid for mine originally. I was really bummed. So I had started perusing the sites trying to identify a good knife to replace my rukus (and had pretty much decided I was going to have to go down to the local knife shop and try some out or else wait for Blade next year) when my wife called to let me know she had found the knife. Woo hoo! It was like getting a new knife!

That got me to thinking though, this one I found, but most of them I haven't. So someone must have found my old knife somewhere and hopefully they enjoyed it (if I can't get it back I'd rather it not just rust away someplace).

So how about you. Have you ever found a knife? What was it? Where did you find it?

never found a good one or one i'd be willing to pick up.

While surveying for an electrical company on the US Mexican border I found a old school Gerber lockback with a partially serrated blade in an ATV track. I assumed that it belonged to a border patrol agent. It was pretty dusty and a little rusty; I cleaned it up and put it to work. Problem is I don't know what I have done with it now. Easy come easy go...

The only two knives I have found have both been total garbage. One was a Buck 110 knock off with plastic scales that had some kind of wildlife scene. It was covered in what looked like crazy glue to hold it all together. I can't remember where I found it. The other was some no name tactical piece of junk. Blade was bent. I could have brushed my teeth with the blade it was so dull. Found it on a sidewalk outside of a Jamba Juice in Old Town Pasadena.

Was walking around the reservoir and saw something shiny it was a leatherman wave and than a month latter wife bought me a wave sheath for .50 cents wonder if the sheath the wife found was the original sheath best find ever.

A few years ago I found a well-used 1970's vintage 440C-bladed Buck Prince on a hiking trail. I gave it a good home.
