Ever get people on the street that flip because you have a knife?

I never had a problem with security forces in former communist countries: VOPO in DDR, Czech police aso.

This is what happened when Karen was at the ice rink and learned that someone, somewhere had a knife.

This was about 12 years ago in rural Douglas County, Colorado (near Sedalia if you're familiar with the area). County sheriff had a patrol in the area. They came to check out the situation, asked if I would consent to a search. I let them as I didn't have a knife on me.

Never consent to a search! If they have a warrant or probable cause, they don't need consent. DO NOT CONSENT TO A SEARCH.

I do get that, but I just didn't have anything on me I was worried about explaining and it expedited the interaction. Zippo, cigarettes, wallet, keys...

Only the people I'm robbing object.

No. And I sometimes walk to and from the trail, a few blocks through my suburban neighborhood, with a machete hanging from my belt.
