Ever had this happen?

Got all the way to grinding in the edge bevels and found a bad weld right across the edge right at the tip, I'd have to shorten the blade half an inch to get it out

Yup! Got a blade up in the shop that has a bad weld in almost the same spot as yours. It's my first pattern welded attempt so I'm just leaving it as it is to remind me that it can happen.
