Ever heard of this place

I was surfing here today and found some fox and herbertz butterflies.

Are they better then Jags?

BTW I just ordered two Jags from
888 knives r us for 14.95 each
the black skeletonised type

Oh I get angry when I think of the butterflies I had in the past when they could sell the Japanese types and I gave or sold most of them.

I like throwing knives, they're quiet.

I just ordered one of the Fox Balisongs from Cutlery to Go and I think I got a good Bali. Though it's so very light compared to my Jaguar. The Fox's are nicely made.

Things may never get better, but they can always get worse.

Ask VG about the ballistic knife.

I've seen these sell on BA for $700!!!! A buddy of mine has got two; one we shoot and the other is new in the wrap. If you hold it perfectly still when you shoot it, it will fly pretty straight and gets surprising penetration. I've seen my friend hit a phone-pole across the street and have it stick hard enough that it took both hands to pull it out! Getting all that spring compressed into the handle can be quite a trick; putting it between your knees helps.

sgj165, a ballistic knife is a knife which can be shot as a projectile. It is very illegal to do this, as well as to own one. I admit it would be interesting to fire, or witness one of these firing, but the risk isn't worth it.

The accuracy of ballistic knives vary. You fire them by pushing down (or pulling out, depending on model) the pin that holds the knife in the tube. This will cause the spring to expand, shooting the knife.

P.S. - I do not own one of these, nor would I consider purchasing one.

WOW!!

****...sounds really cool. I want to get one, but its too damn expensive. Anyone knwo where they sell them cheaper?

I have seen 2 of them for sale on different occasions by friends of mine, and this is as cheap as I have seen. It is quite an interesting thing to witness firing, I would probably pick one up if given the chance, but NOT off of the internet. I think it would be worth the entertainment value, and I live in a state of very lax knife laws, so it might not get me in too much trouble.

State laws won't have anything to do with it. It's federally banned so you need to get ATF approval. I think that involves writing them a letter requesting a permit and a $200 tax... I think. You better check the law before trying to get one.

Yea I Know I Would Never Buy One Tooo Dangerous And ILLEGAL I Was Just Playing Would Be Cool To See Though

Well, I did not know that. I will have to inform one friend of mine of that law if he still has it.
Thanks for the info.

Little Chaozu - $250 is actually what I would consider a good price on a ballistic knife. It's probably the lowest price I've seen so far; but I still wouldn't get one.

It also seems that it would be a pain, as well as dangerous, to get the knife back into the loaded position. I wouldn't want to slip and have that sucker shoot in my face.

Also, I don't think it's a very good idea mentioning that you or your friends own a ballistic knife... especially on a public forum which can be accessed by anyone with internet. May I suggest an edit?

SEC. IIIA: Weapons Removed From the NFA As Collector's Items And Removed From the GCA As Antiques
The following firearms were removed from the National Firearms Act as collector's items and classified as curios or relics under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44. However, since they are antiques as defined in Chapter 44, they should not have been classified as curios or relics. Since they are no longer NFA weapons and are antiques under Chapter 44, they are not subject to GCA provisions.
... Knife Gun

I dunno what this means. I may have one for sale but I paid way more than 250.
