Ever liked a cheaper knife better?

I still can't find a bad thing about the small CRKT Crawford/Kasper. I gave mine to my son and after a year, I'm looking for another one for myself.

My all time favorite is still a slipjoint stockman.
 
I think the better question is:
Has anyone ever NOT like a cheaper knife more than a more expensive knife??? Just one look at knifeart.com and I think there are plenty of people who would choose the Busse's, CR's, Strider's over the $1k+ knives on that site (as nice as they are).
