Ever pass on a traditional knife because of the way it looks closed?

So many designs out there that look great open but just look funky when closed.. any models you pass on because you don't like the looks when closed?
Example, I really like the wharncliffe or sheepsfoot blades open, but closed they sit up way to high for my tastes. Any you pass on?

Not yet.

I definitely don't like a blade to ride too high when closed. Sheepfoot blades have this trait. I love this blade but don't care for how it sits when closed. Now the spey blade rides very sleek and low, which I really like...

I'll be in the minority on this but I like the way the sheepfoot blade rides a little higher. Granted I only own one sheepfoot knife in my Barlow, but it's different looking than my other knives and I like that way.

Yes in deed. I really steer toward sunk joint knives that are much more comfortable in hand/pocket than ones with "unsunk" tangs. Robeson Pocketeze especially.

I would say that I'm with sunandsteel on this one. I own a TC Barlow with the sheep foot blade and I have a Fremont Jack by Northwoods with a high sitting single modified sheep foot blade. It does make them kind of act like an easy opener which I like.

short answer... no

longer answer...
assuming the original question is about aesthetic appearance only then; lol no. you dont cut things with a closed knife thats (probly) out of sight in your pocket.
