Ever see a crk out in the wild?

Has anybody come across a fellow knife nerd and notice a crk in their pocket? Or another premium knife for that matter? I have not yet, but only recently just got into higher end stuff just this past year or so. Whenever I notice a clip in someone's pocket it's usually a gerber or Kershaw or worse....

One of my best friends has a small 21. I bought it for him off of the exchange. He had a Benchmade before that. I see Benchmade more than anything else around here. Every now and again a spyderco. But for the majority, nothing higher end

In more than 20 years of owning and carrying CRKs I have actually never seen someone else with one. Not only that, people who see me using my CRKs show zero curiosity about them. I guess they just fly under the radar.

No, but I don't really look either. It is usually large back pocket knives that catch my attention.

I once encountered an older gentleman at an out-of-town gun club with a small 21. “Nice little Sebenza you’ve got there,” I said, hoping to strike up some knife knerd chat.

“A what?”

“The Sebenza, your knife.”

“Oh? Is that what it’s called? It’s a great knife. My son gave it to me. Is it special?”

I complemented his knife, said something about his son having great taste, and walked on.

FWIW seeing a Buck sheath or a Kershaw clip is common where I live. A few Spyderco & BM clips from time to time. When I don’t see that, there’s likely a traditional in most other guys’ pockets. I haven’t seen anything fancy in town (yet).

Never. Only when I meet someone to buy or sell a knife does one of us ask what the other guy is carrying.

I bought a high end canoe last summer from a local shop. When i went to look at the boat it was still in the factory wrapping. The owner of the shop used a small inkosi insingo to open it. I commented on the knife and he said yeah its a Chris reeve, i pulled out my large knife art sebenza and said they are great knives...what do you know he didnt charge me tax lol

I have one acquaintance who is a Benchmade nut, one who carries the lower-end of high quality knives; ie: Spyderco Byrd, etc., and one who carries a Victorinox one-hand Trekker. The rest are carrying something from Walmart or maybe the hardware or home store. A few older guys are carrying an old traditional they've had for a very long time.

I don't recall ever noticing or meeting anyone carrying a high-end knife other than noticing a Bechmade pocket clip on someone one time...

I've had my Inkosi spotted twice, both times the person thought it was a Sebenza at first glance. The first time I was fidgeting with it at a trade show, the second time was very recent. My husband and I were standing outside or a restaurant in a small town in NC talking, and someone spotted it and it's Hawk clip sticking out of my pocket. Both times let to brief, but really nice conversations.

Never seen one in the wild but a couple of years ago a guy at work recognized my small Sebenza. We ended up chatting about it and he said that it convinced him that he needed to pick one up.

Well Spark showed me his 21 he had in his pocket the day I bought my Inkosi from his shop.. So I guess that counts:D

Once, 20 years ago a guy had a Small regular in his pocket. I checked it out and was impressed. I had never heard of CRK before...

Saw a Chris Reeve sticker on a car window a few weeks ago but never an actual CRK in public. I see plenty of Benchmades though.

One of the workers at the Cabela's by me has a sebenza. We both noticed eachother's pocket clips at the same time. It's the unspoken bond now haha.

Old man didn't even know he's got a $350+ knife in his pocket.
Kudos to his son for being a great guy and giving his pops a high quality knife.
