Ever see a crk out in the wild?

My ex-brother-in-law flipped out when I was describing an Emerson knife and exclaimed, “there’s no knife in the world worth $250!”

I didn’t mention my new 31 inlaid model that was brushing $600 with tax included. I probably never could have gotten him to do a favor for free ever again!

Besides my buddy's Benchmade who I kinda got into knives a little in the past year or so, the highest end knife I've ever spotted was a Spyderco clip.

You gotta wonder how many really nice clipless knives go completely missed though.

I did see a guy using what I believe was a Mnandi one time. It wasn't in a place where I could ask what if was, and I couldn't see it clear enough to be sure. Once he was done, he dropped it back into his pocket.

Case. I forgot about them. I’ve seen several of them being used
A guy I work with carries and uses a Case mini trapper. Don't think I've ever seen him use a razor knife. Only other person I've seen use an actual knife at work like that. I usually carry a Case or small traditional on me too but typically reserve it for personal cutting tasks while the Sebenza or whatever larger modern folder I have does all the job work.

A friend of a friend uses a case trapper. Work (water company), hunting, on the farm, he uses that thing everywhere. I don’t trust myself enough to use a non locking knife all the time. A salesman at one supply house we deal with carries and uses a Case. Mainly just opening packages tho. I see a lot of Milwaukee knives as well, being since supply houses carry them. I have a guy an old Klein folder I had to work with. It’s the one with the three stripping notches on the spine and the Phillips screwdriver. I took it apart, cleaned and sharpened it for him. Man was it a nightmare. Truly makes you appreciate the ease of a CRK in every department

I live way back in the sticks & just about everyone I know carries a multitool or knife. I've never seen another CRK though.

I have never seen one out. I’ve lived in a few places, Iowa(right next to Omaha), Illinois, and now PA, and what I see the most of is no name folders that look like they came from a flea market. The only high end knives I see are Benchmade, and Spyderco here and there. But even the spydies are rare it seems. One of my buddies was surprised to see I had a bugout on me when we first met. He told me he had an old BM he used to carry. He now carry’s a 20cv kershaw link. I’ve never showed him my crk. I think he would feel as though I am crazy for spending 400$ on it. Only my cousin, who’s not a knife guy at all, said he sees the value in any crk that I’ve owned and showed him. He says it’s going to be the knife he buys when he saves the money. Kind of funny.

A bunch of guys in my office building regularly have Benchmades and I've seen a few Spydercos. I know a guy or two that have Sebenzas on their want list. And I recently met a guy a local coffee shop that asked about my Olight keychain and ended talking about our Sebenzas (although his wasn't on him at the moment.)

Never, most people use cheap junk. Fanciest I’ve seen on a non-knife person is a Para 3, I don’t even think they knew it was a “Spyderco”. A friend of mine had two BMs. That’s about it.

It would be neat to see an owner and talk for a minute.

Only one guy, he has a couple CRK knives that I’ve seen him carry. He owns the local hardware store in town and I know him well so it’s kind of cheating.

Seen a sticker on a truck. In 2003 Iraq I seen a MKIV and a Project I

This reminds me. One time I sold a red dlt para 3 to somebody, and the guy didn’t even know how to close it! He said “I just want it because I like the red color.”
I mean, more power to him, but I found it interesting that he was buying a knife that I had to show him how to close.

Of course I was fine with that as long as he bought it :p

A trading friend of mine said he knew a guy who worked the door at a local club who had some.... next time I went we showed off our "Steel" and had a great chat!
