Ever think you're done buying knives?

So far I have yet to feel like I was done buying knives. There are just so many I want, the only thing that stops me is lack of enough disposable income.

What amazes me is how so many times that I desire a particular knife and after I have it for a while, that I begin to see it as disposable and something else out there has my attention. Often the knife will not live up to my expectations for valid reasons but often with no fault of the knife, you just know that the next one will quench that thirst. I'll get off the couch now.

Has anybody else ever hit a similar impasse, and what did you do about it?

Yes, that happened to me last year. I sold almost all production pieces and replaced them with customs (I kept BM 710 though).

Now I am replacing the customs with different customs (that I like better) trying to keep the total number of knives about the same.

I have been moving back and forth between customs and productions for over a year now. Seem to find a lot more that I don't like lately...

I think I'm gonna get out of knives all the time. Just last week I'd decided I was gonna sell all my knives off except for the bare minimum. Yeah right....All I managed to do was get myself on a Spyderco kick...which is also competing with replacing a couple of my MOD's, and the new Madd Maxx...*l* To make things worse, I'm now beginnning to make a couple of my own knives.....what the heck can I say, I'm thoroughly addicted...

:D

Do what I do: start buying spares of your favorite knives! That way you can buy them all twice or 3 times. You never know when they'll be lost or discontinued, and you want to be able to enjoy those knives for years to come... :D
