Ever want a knife for no damn reason, then get it and...

Thank you, silenthunterstudios.

I no longer want a CS voyager.

I want Jana Cava.

I would not return a Jana Cava.

 ;)

As a matter of fact, NO!

I buy my knives real slow, I think about them for a long time. I'm simply not an impulse buyer. So, I've never fallen out of love with a purchase and have never sold or traded a knife.

There was a point a couple of years back when I was going to sell some knives becasue I was broke, but I didn't.

bought a CUDA Maxx... thought it was too nice to use and so i sold it off, rather than put the first few scratches in it. then i began buying more expensive knives, and had enough blades that i didn't worry about using any of them. then i became very forlorn at the thought of my now-departed Maxx.

so i bought it again.

think long and hard before you off that knife you figure you don't need... it may come back!! :D

nelsonmc....... Nuttin....YET! Tryna talk myself OUT of wanting a CS 6" X2 Voyager folding SWORD.
not trying to swerve the conversation here, but just a quick side-note about the X2:

i bought one last week and sold it 2 days ago (along with my XL), but NOT because it's bad; i just had to pay for another knife!! i'll be buying both again in the future, because they're so neat. i just recommend that if you decide to buy it, consider that it will probably be a once-in-a-while kind of knife, rather than an EDC, especially if your pants have shallow pockets (speaking physically, rather than financially ;) ). the X2 is just. that. BIG.

aka Impulse Buying. I have done this on so many occasions it ain't even funny! Usually end up selling them when I do. My goals for this year are to research before buying and then waiting several days to see if I still want to purchase. So far it has worked out well.

Yes , but like in every marriage there are moments that you feel doubts. It's because you keep seeing newer and fancier models walking around. But in the end you will always go back to our old trusted wife. She might not be the "sharpest" one around, maybe some nicks and scratches but in the end you will realise that she would never let you down. :)

How elequently said. I've actually had the same EDW for 13 years. The occasional swipe across a strop keeps it fresh and new :p

Same for me - knives, tools, knick knacks (you never know when you'll need it) Got caught a couple of times where the picture looked OK, dimensions looked OK but when I got it - for some reason, it was either too small or too big. I was looking really hard at both the CRKT/Lake PAL and CRKT Montana Gentleman but for some reason, I didn't buy right away. They finally made it into Calgary, and lo and behold, the Montana Gentleman was way smaller than I somehow had envisioned, and the PAL (wasn't on the immediate buy lits) was a lot larger. I ended up buying the PAL. I think I'm getting better at this - I'm picking stuff up first before I buy. Problem with that of course, is that there is a lot of pretty nice stuff out there :mad :D

I also have looked at that "Montana Gentleman." I think it originally had a different name, but no matter. I just can't see hangin on to that funny handle. I use the butt of a knife to push cut and there are a LOT of knives that have some sort of sharp point on that end and that kills it for me.
