Ever wonder what a Ti inlay Mnandi with a stone washed blade might look like ?....

It was actually quite easy, that doesn't mean they would fall out easily on their own though. That tape they use is super tacky and stays sticky for just about ever. I only had to lift the corner and slowly pry them off, that would not be able to happen "naturally" so one needn't worry about them falling out. If they had been glued in I would probably had to have machined the inlays out destrying them and causing my slef so much bother I wouldn't even start it.

That looks amazing. How did you remove the ebony wood? How difficult was it to remove? CR says the VHB tape will hold the inlay pretty much forever. Just wondering how much fight it gave you? Similar to epoxy? Stronger?

You did a fantastic job on that one, Haze. I'm gonna have to second BBQ and say I'd buy that in a heart beat.

Beautiful inlays, I like them just the way they are. Another cool option would be some gentle anodizing with tribal scribe.

I added some slightly better pics to the OP that show both sides...

I didn't have any time to work on this knife at the weekend, but I'm leaning towards a bead blast or tumbled finish for the inlays. I'm not going to leave it satin as you can't even walk past it with out getting finger marks and smudges all over it. I may do some engraving/inlay at a later date but I think I like it just plain.

This is really cool.

Now it's time to start practicing some engraving work;)
