I stayed home sick today, and realized she has a pretty good gig. Little guard duty by the window (you know for squirrels, rabbits and deer), little nap in the sun, maybe later a few treats. Not a bad deal. ;)

Sleeping on the job I see. Most dogs have it made, I'm often jealous.
 
One of mine likes to dig into anything left near her level that looks somewhat entertaining or could hold some sort of tastey treat when she's not leaving giant drool puddles on the leather couch while napping (she's a basset hound). Another one likes to hike his leg on anything that he comes accross (so he stays kenneled...a Westie). The third likes to fight the second (so he stays penned up as well...an Italian greyhound/yellow lab mix).

So Nathan , for entertainment , do you make little 8" mounds with treats in them for the Basset ? I love basset hounds , had 4 of them . They make me laugh , they are clowns . One old one , 13 yrs. always scratched to be put on the bed , even when our mattress was on the floor and she could just walk up on it .
 
If my boy was not crated we would come home to minus a few pillows,shoes, and who knows what else! He just turned a year so there might be hope?
