Dragon fruit, had to try it. Pretty bland for the color.

Nice pics. The fruit looks interesting. I have heard of it, but never knew what it looked like.

Nice pics. Do any fishing?

Dragon fruit is native to Mexico, South America and South East Asia. It doesn't really have a taste but I had to try it.

The wild life was amazing. I wish I could have done more backcountry type of camping but that will have to wait.

I didn't do any fishing but there were alot of people and birds fishing.

My kind of country.:thumbup: Did you do any canoeing, I really want to visit that area with my canoe. Chris

Chef, what is granita?

Runningboar, A canoe would be awesome. It was a short trip. I would go back. I never camped or experienced that kind of terrain before.

That is my home country, blackwater swamps are what waits for me in heaven. ;) You really should go back with a kayak or canoe, it is a little hot and muggy in the summer though. Chris

Great pics...I have always been a big fan of all wildlife but Gators are my No1 beast...awesome creatures !!!!

RB, one thing I want to do is a kyak trip in a marchy area. It looks like you are doing it regularly.

Pitdog, I wish my pics were of your caliber.

Come on down, lots of rivers and swamps to explore, eastern NC, SC and GA are nirvana for blackwater canoeing and kayaking

Psy-ops: Great pics!!! The only time I ever saw a gator was at the zoo. Instead of being cautious of bears you have to watch out for gators too. Beautiful scenery down there and one day I will get out there.

Runningboar: Man those fish look tasty. The first one is a sunny or bluegill? If it is they are my favorite to eat. The LM bass looks like it would put up a good fight.

Great pics!

Where in the glades did you camp? I have done many trips in the glades and I am always looking for a new spot.

If there is fresh water in Florida the chances are pretty good that you may find an alligator there:cool:

The camp site was called Long Pine and we walked on the Anhinga trail. The trail had all the gators. There were a few mosquitos but not bad. The summer is when the mosquitos come to dine.
