  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Every becker ever made. Pics please.

Purple dolphin blanket of rage .

blue and purple seem to be good color backgrounds for photographing knives. at least for me, it was handy :)

eventually, i may have the space and time to do each on justice, but for now, it's "dump on the blanket, and go" :)

I just love forum newbies(on any forum) who apparently do not care to use the search function or know what a "sticky'' thread is or why they even exist.

actually, i was kinda hoping we could add a new requirement for Beckerheads: ideally should take some minimum amount of time to get, required reading, and learning our style... perhaps two weeks minimum?

it used to be on USENET, the program would warn you something like "you are about to send your message to 100,000s of people. this costs $$$ and resources. are you sure?", and you could set newbie modes to limit (or prevent) posting, and generally groups had requirements that you sit back and read a while and learn your subject.

me? i don't mind questions. i don't. it's one of the things i do for work - answering.

however, usually, they ask good questions that can't readily be solved with a quick search on google ;) if you can form a question, and type it into google, in English, and can't find it with some additional tweaks well then.

google "becker knife photos" actually finds THIS thread. how fast is google, or what? as a result, one can immediately find the links people already posted. heh.

a lot of the common questions are covered in the FAQS/DB... that's why they are there. google fodder and the slight hope someone reads them (and more importantly, finds mistakes - in the last couple years almost nobody has pointed out any *AND* i know they are there :D)

Well thanks for helping anyways. Thats a great sticky, having never owned a becker, what do you guys think is the best first becker?

that's a common first question :) good.

what will you do with it?

i'd buy a BK14, cheap, just to try it out. useful. then if you like, you buy a bigger, more expensive one. like the BK2 or something.

BK2, by far. Its broken many a future Beckerheads cherry.

Start there.

Moose

what will you do with it?

Anything that would need done around a bonfire, hunting small game, light camping, or hiking. Not really any batoning or heavy chopping. I'm more of a minimalist. Small knife, small kit, small fire.

I have a BK2, can everyone tell me what it's worth? Also, Once worth is determined, I'd like to sell it on this forum, and I don't need to upgrade my membership for that right? I guess I could just post it on ebay and link you all to it.

(Hopefully I don't need to point out that I was being sarcastic...but I will anyways just in case.)

Ah, orange....... so it's easy to see and not overlooked.........

Are you sure it's orange? :D

I hope it was understood, but I want to say it anyways. I was kidding in my post lol, obviously I saw the sticky

Would you reccomend the becker necker or the eskabar?

EsKabar Bro..... Better handle.

But like said above (no offense to Moozy or Dubs) get a BK9 as your first, it does it all bro. The first time I held a BK9 sparks of glory where shooting from my nipples!!
