Every Day Carry vs Every Day Use

Items I always have on me when outside of the house:

Cell phone
Knife
Flashlight
Pen
Keys
Wallet
Burt's Bees lip balm

I use all of these every day, most several times a day. Heck, I don't even put anything in my wallet that not used at least once a week. I do not like carrying around extra stuff if I do not have to.

I use what I carry and carry what I use...the only exception would be the handgun...luckily it is not used every day...but still carried...

Use pretty much everything everyday, except the Colt and extra mag. Don't tell anybody, but I'm looking at going with a Gen. 4 Glock 19 for an alternate CCW.
I just found a new CRKT Kasper Companion and will be totin' it daily (After a couple of mod's). Sending Mercop a M.O. today for two of the Mercharness rigs.
If I have to cut something around the sheeple it'll be with the Case folder. Don't want some ninny to go into vapor lock over the evil looking fixed blade.

You guys are obviously living a very different life than I am. Although I carry a lot of different things, the only things that really get used ever single day are my keys and cell phone.

this is my sentiment also...

if i know i'll need a flashlight then i carry one...and i don't carry a pocket knife as edc; pretty much only if i feel like i need one that particular day...

i don't have a job or lifestyle where i have to carry all the stuff previously listed...

Well Sir, I live life and some things come in handy during the course of it.
Pistol/mags- Better to have and not need than to need and not have.
Knives- They help when you want to cut something.
Wallet- People want money for stuff, so I carry some.
Kerchief- The heat index is about 106 here today. I sweat.
Keys/access cards- Help me get into/out of places.
Cell. Phone- What if Kate Beckinsale wants to call me and I'm not at home?
Flashlight- It gets dark. I like to see.
Lighter- Fire. It sets us apart from the animals.

I travel light, so I only carry what I know I'll use. If I don't need it, I don't carry it.

So I carry and use, every day:

Main knife (either a Spyderco Paramilitary, Queen Canoe or Queen Congress)
Victorinox Soldier
Wallet
Pen
Black Sharpie
Nalgene bottle
Cellphone
iPod
Keys (car, house, work)

They all get used, frequently, every day.
