Every knife in your collection transitions to one steel type. What steel would you choose?

Any of 3 steels. 3V, CPM Cruwear, or 4V.

All are useful enough for almost all my current needs. I rarely chop wood any more so all I need any of the three can do comfortably.

I wish it would be CPM Cruwear. But in practice it seems to be M390 :)

Currently, I'm very partial to AEB-L. But wait, I have a knife coming in LC200N... And I totally like 14C28N, S35VN and many others. So, no, it's not gonna happen.

My collection has naturally swelled in CPM S35VN, CPM S90V and Bohler CPM 20CV/Bohler M390/CTS 204P. Happy with all of them so I suppose any one will do.

Ug! What a horrible game! I think I would be another 52100... but I would have to sell my folders since high carbons corrode in my pocket. I suppose I prefer fixed blades anyway.

I’d be content with many of the modern stainless options, my larger fixed blades would be limited (no more choppy choppy), but my SAK blades miraculously becoming M390 or S35VN would be sweet.
