Every Man Needs...

I'm Not A Man...
Does That Mean I Can't Post To This?
If It Does....
Oh Well, I'm Going To Post Anyways, Because This Applies To Me As Well Lol.

A.) My Phone Currently Works As The Watch.
B.) Spyderco Chokwe Or ZT 0301
C.) Streamlight Microstream
D.) Not A Girlfriend, And Not A Wife, But My Best Friend.
Can I Have 2 Good Women In My Life?
If So: My Best Friend, And My Mother.

Hell, I'll list my wife's in keeping with the equality of this thread.

Watch: Tiffany and Co
Knife: pink mini grip
Light: Streamlight Nano (pink of course)
Sidearm: pink handled Taurus model 85
I married well above my level.

A. My phone fills all watch needs, being a college student I don't need another hole in my already empty water bucket
B. Currently my Case Sway Back Jack, though im warming up to the Tidioute Powderhorn in Rosewood
C. Fenix E01, though I havent experimented much with other lights
D. N/A, or (see A)

A. Omega Speedmaster Professional
B. Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 21
C. Don't carry a flashlight. When I need light the iPhone's LED works great.
D. My hot ass wife

A. A good watch - have Iphone but love my Lum-Tec
B. A good knife - fixed blade ESEE/Becker, folder Emerson/Spyderco
C. A good flashlight (torch for the non US people in the forum ) - Streamlights for everything with a rail, have a Fenix TK70 for LD
D. A good woman - my wife is my best friend and partner

I know that there are some really cool women on this forum so I am not trying to be sexist by this post but...

I am of the belief that every man needs:
A. A good watch
B. A good knife and
C. A good flashlight (torch for the non US people in the forum :D)
D. A good woman

A. Given that the entire watch industry is built around justifying a 1000% markup in price, I'm tempted to say that people should just not wear watches anymore (at the same time I'm considering buying something with an ETA 2893-2. I love the tech, but I get disgusted every time I look at that industry too closely).
B. Right now I'm EDCing my autolock OLFA LA-X. I sold off/ am selling off everything else. Long term plans are to carry a custom fixed blade of my own creation though.
C. Fenix TK-41. Amazing light. Don't forget your Maha MH-C9000 to take care of all those Eneloops.
D. Working on it.

These ARE the "go-to's" of their category IMO. The MTG has been through everything and has never failed. The ZT0350 just replaced my Blur (also a great knife). The Zebralight SC600w bumped my HDS 140GT out of top spot for sheer output to size ratio.

BTW: As far as "D." goes......I've been with Mrs. Think2x since September of 1988 and Lights and Knives aren't the only "toys" I have.

C. Led Lenser P3...carry this everywhere as well.
D. Jessica Gomez.....or Kate beckinsale ;) lol. but as of now. just enjoying my freedom :)

I feel the same way about most technology. We can spend a LOT of money chasing the latest and greatest, when simpler things sometimes fill our needs just as well. With that in mind:

a. A cheap analog Timex. Works very well so far and has a calendar (date) display that I really appreciate. I normally only wear this in the classroom where it wouldn't be appropriate to pull out my phone to check the time (if my students can't have phones, then neither can I). The rest of the time I use my 6-year-old Motorola Razr...It's worked for this long, and I have another to replace it when it fails. (See what I mean about technology? :o)

b. Any number of slipjoints. At the moment it's a Schrade Walden 787 Muskrat with one of the blades converted to a wharncliffe profile. I love the slim profile for carry in dress pants. On the weekends it might be a Schrade 8OT or a something similar.

c. Inova something-or-other. Takes AA batteries and is plenty bright for me. Stays in a KSF pocket sheath with a Blind Horse Knives patch knife--my "dogwalking kit."

d. Mrs. Frostyfingers, of course!

I know my attitudes about stuff like this might be a little different from most, but I enjoy and appreciate seeing y'all's answers.

Frostyfingers

If you get the good woman, everything else will work out. If you get the wrong woman, nothing else will work out.

Well said. I could easily live without the rest (though it wouldn't be quite as fun, of course). But I'd hate to think of life without my wife!

Back on topic:

watch: Casio G-shock solar
knife: Spyderco PM2, Benchmade Mini-Rukus, OR my new ZT 0561. I suspect the last will become my new favorite.
flashlight: for EDC, a Fenix PD20. For tactical light, a SF G2ZX.
woman: Mrs. Maximux83. Married 25 yrs, mother of 2 kids, brilliant thinker, inveterate prankster, self-sacrificing companion, Christian to the core, and loyal friend.

Watch: I rarely wear one, but I always have my iphone 4s on me

knife: Paramilitary 2 :)

flashlight: I dont carry one, but my iphone has a flashlight on it that I use... haha

woman: I dont currently have one, so if there any single ladies on here feel free to let me know. To quote Dave Chappelle " holla holla holla"

Omega Speedmaster Professional.
Almost anything made by KAI
Depends....Weapons mounted of general purpose. Surefires are hard to beat
My wife of 12 years. Works full time, takes care of our two boys, and never complains when I have to take long trips for Uncle Sam. She most definitely should be on the top of this list.

I'll trade "D." for "A." and "C."

First I'll take it followed by a pm gets her. Buyer assumes all shipping responsibilities. :D

1. Lum Tec B12
2. Benchmade 530 Pardue
3. My Cosco 3 pack LED
4. Most important my Girl (soon to be wife)
