  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

everyday boots

Not to derail things, but other than getting some black palm through one of the drainage holes what else did Jeff not like about the OTBs?

These may be a bit too "tactical" looking for most people, but I really like them:

5.11 XPRT boots.

They are very lightweight, extremely comfortable, and have a proprietary toe protector that does a good job protecting my toes without pinching my foot if I squat. More like wearing a athletic shoe than wearing boots. I've had them over a year and wear them every week, but they still look like new. I highly recommend them.

I also have narrow feet 11 B. I looked at Danner and Merrell and could not find narrow sizes.

You may have to hunt around for them. I bought my Danners from Cabelas. Not all of the Danner boots Cabelas sells come in B width. However, many of the "uniform" boots do.

I love my Danner Acadias, and I just found that I can have them recrafted. They are in need of new soles. Better than replacing the boots.

Go to http://www.danner.com/category/boots.do and select what style you want (Hunting, Hiking, Military, etc) and the fit (Narrow, Medium, Regular, Wide) and the site will show what boots in each style Danner make in that width.

I too have an 11B foot that seems to be hard to fit. I ordered custom made White's hiking boots and finally at the age of 33 finally have boots that perfectly fit my feet. These fit so perfect the thickness of the sock starts to matter. No more worn out socks from rubbing and the boots breathe as they do not have gore-tex that holds moisture (my feet sweat no matter the temperature). These boots and wool socks are my feet's best friend.

I really like my farm and ranch boots by georgia boots. I got them at basspro and they look amazing. Soft leather and extremely comfortable. I use them for when I need to dress nice and my work or hiking boots wont cut it. They were $80 on sale but are usually around $120
