Everyday Fixed Blade Carry?

Makes perfect sense to me. I would carry a large fixed but I spend most of my day sitting on my ass and I know it would become a pain. So far my limit on a fixed is a 4-5 incher. Otherwise most days I'm carrying a 4 inch folder. Sometimes I carry a folder and a fixed.

That Hellrazor sure is a sweet blade though!

I don't live in a bad neighborhood in fact I do not have many neighbors at all. But I go by the old thou I walk in the valley of the shadow I fear no evil because I am the badest MF in the valley:D Only kidding the truth is I live in a gun carry friendly state the problem is I own different businesses in neighboring states that are not carry friendly. I have to collect money and things at night and I have learned thru spareing with fake knives all other things being equal a big knife beats a small one everytime. I have 4 children and when I go from my truck to the family volvo I go from redneck to family yuppie guy and victum and I will not be a victum or allow a family member to be one so if I can not carry a gun I will carry the best knife I can which in my humble opinion is a large fixed blade. I am not playing when it comes to my families protection.:D Plus I hunt alot with bow, dogs and firearms I can not tell you how many times I have dispatched an animal with a knife . I do not enjoy this but it is realty when you hunt with catch dogs and a big knife works better than a small one

That is a sweet combo! Jeff makes a great sheath. I have a DMLE matched to a RW kydex.

Since I don't usually have to tuck my shirts in, I carry this on a daily basis (at least most days):

I love this knife. One of the easiest EDC'S out there due to a great sheath design and knife size. That's a lot of knife in a small package. Looks good too!

Hello all, I'm looking for an EDC fixed blade.
I THINK I've narrowed it down between the RAT RC-3 plain edge and the Fallkniven H1, but I'm open to suggestions, I've seen some really great ones in this thread.
Can anyone try and swing me in one direction or the other? I don't need a massive blade, just something functional that can serve as a general utility knife.

I like the Rat3 or RC3 personally for everyday carry. Although sometimes I carry a small Sharp finger, which is actually more comfortable to carry to me but the Rat is more of a knife IMO.

I carry this Model 2 by Dan Crotts most days. Sheath by Cody Rowe.

I haven't found a combo that better suits my needs, but I enjoy the search.

I am aware it is long past time to refinish the deck.

Nice looking combo carp! I really like the sheath. How do I get in touch with Cody Rowe?

Thanks! I don't see the pancake sheaths listed, so I'll drop him an email and tell him you sent me his way.

Great looking set up!
can you show a pic of how that sheath wears?

I switch off between the following FB's:

Bark River Escort
Murray Carter Whitecrane Utility/Fighter, w/ IWB Sheath
Chris Reeve Professional Soldier
Murray Carter Neck Knife

I have alot of larger fixed blades that if i carried everyday, i would not like. I only carry my Rat3 and or Sharpfinger on an everyday basis. I dont have a Neck knife that is of any good quality and I want one. If I had a good Necker, i would problably go with that as a fixed. Just dont have the funds now. The only Neck knife I have is made by Myerco and it seems to be good but it doesnt stay in its case. It hangs upside down so I put it up for storage.

I hope this helps. :)

I like pancakes because I can run my belt through the slots of the sheath and under a belt loop on my jeans, which prevents the sheath from sliding.
