Just arrived today, straight from the Hawks.

Haven't even cut anything with it yet. At first I was resisting this purchase, even though I am a big fan of the Hawks, because I thought it was a little tactilol but I took the plunge after BilboBaggins BilboBaggins recommended it. He and I share similar taste in knives so I trusted his judgement.

It's true that you can't tell the character of a knife until you get it in hand. I already love the ergos on this thing. Can't wait to really put it through it's paces.

Glad you broke!!! I can't stop fiddling with mine. Has quickly risen to be one of my favorites.

Grabbed a couple of knives yesterday, nothing as exciting as last week's Sebenza though.

Kershaw CQC-5K + Victorinox Pioneer by MaxArcherEDC, on Flickr

The Kershaw Emerson is specifically for my Memorial Day trip, I needed something decent but cheap enough to put in my checked luggage without worries. The SAK is something I'm more excited about, I've always wanted an Alox and stumbled across this dark grey Pioneer while I was at a local store. It'll probably become part of my permanent EDC.

Great start Max, congrats and enjoy!

Thanks! I'm starting to get the hang of opening it properly and it's starting to break in, and I'm loving it more and more. I think I see why CRK gets so much hype!

Bought a Spyderco Bug and a Spyderco Honeybee for my grandfather and Dad respectively for Father's Day. Tomorrow I'm having them both engraved with their badge numbers and I'm also picking up my Benchmade 940!

Got this little guy in today:

Wasn't taken by the baby poop brown so I put my crafty britches on. Now it looks like this:

Also sharpened it and polished the blade a little. The polish kind of backfired though. It looks great, like Spyderco's mirror stonewash, but this is a pinch open blade. Fingerprints like crazy. Might try an EZ thumb stud on it.

I've actually had this one for a couple weeks (not sure I've ever posted in this thread).

Since I'm not a fan of the "traditional" puukko sheath, I asked Danije for a slight modification. I'm very happy with both the knife and the sheath.

Hey, Joe - look! Pictures! (just because you said I suck for not posting any in the other thread)
